Tom Shopland, CADwalk's European Project Coordinator, will be giving a talk on CADwalk at this year's Digital Construction Week in London. Digital Construction Week is the UK's dedicated event to digital innovation and technologies in the built environment. Tom will be talking at 1pm on the 18th October on the Visualisation Theatre.
This presentation will look at the mix of visual technologies available for allowing teams to visualise unbuilt environments, discussing CADwalk's real world applications of augmented reality, mixed reality and virtual reality to the challenge of spatial design.
Gerhard (Kim) Kimenkowski, Managing Director, thanked attendees for a wonderful evening with the following words:
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for attending our CADwalk Opening and Jumbo Vision 25th birthday celebration. In my view, the event was an incredible success and on behalf of our team, I would like to thank you for spending the evening with us. It was great to have the opportunity to meet and catchup with so many of you face to face and it was fantastic to see so many industry leaders in the same room, enjoying themselves.
I hope you had the chance to meet our local MP’s Peter Tinley and Nathan Morton as well as some of our international representatives Mark Thomas, Eduard Schroeder and Manfred Reich who are taking charge of bringing CADwalk to Europe, USA and beyond.
Once again, I would like to thank you for spending such an enjoyable evening with Jumbo Vision and CADwalk employees and I look forward to speaking with you soon. “
The inaugural CADwalk event at the new premises in Western Australia has been a success. The Lean Special Interest Group, facilitated by Shinka Management, were the first group to have the opportunity to experience the newly completed CADwalk in Perth.
This event provided a fantastic opportunity for members to learn more about CADwalk’s application in optimising manufacturing processes, to try their hand at solving a lean management problem using CADwalk, and to network with likeminded people after formal proceedings.
Shinka Management’s Paul Smith provided the opportunity for attendees to experience a live walk through of the Metal One Isuzu Gifu Service Centre (a steel coil handling facility located near Nagoya, Japan), an excellent example of the efficient use of space and application of 5S principles to support safety, quality and efficiency.
CADwalk allows clients to understand plans and space in a new and exciting way by using the latest in advanced visualisation technologies to create an interactive, life-size design experience.
